Watch as our new campus begins to take shape.
Handicap-Accessible Dock, Pier and Pathways
Our campus master plan envisions a universal access dock and pier and paths, which will enable individuals with mobility challenges to participate in our programs. Preliminary engineering and design have begun, with an anticipated completion date of 2019. These accessible facilities, when combined with accessible equipment, will provide unprecedented access to Pleasant Bay for all.
Future Marine Science and Education Center
This building will serve as a hub for marine and environmental education and a research center for institutions of higher learning. It is undergoing a complete renovation by the Cape Cod Regional Technical High School, with a 2018 completion date anticipated.
Future Center for Pleasant Bay
Built in 1889, this second oldest house on Pleasant Bay will be renovated to serve as PBCB’s main office and administrative space, and will welcome use by school groups and allied environmental organizations concerned with studying and protecting Pleasant Bay.
Future Boating Center
Adjacent to the Boathouse and Dock, this facility will serve as the center of onshore boating programs and instruction.
These dwellings are used by our Residential Membership Program to enable members to live on campus while participating in our programs.
Pleasant Bay Boathouse
Located at the base of the pier, this structure accommodates marine science activities, boat repair operations, and program watercraft and equipment storage.
With Pleasant Bay as dramatic backdrop, this outdoor amphitheater will serve as an educational setting for lectures on marine-based topics for all ages and throughout the seasons.
