Family Science Night: Thursday, October 17th at 5 PM

PBCB is excited to expand our Marine Science program by offering a Family Science Night! Kids, parents, and relatives alike are welcome to attend this 1-hour evening program hosted by our Science Coordinator in the Hillside Classroom. These nights of scientific discovery will include exploring vertebrates and invertebrates, learning tectonic plates and chemistry through the building (and exploding!) of volcanoes, and creating “sea-slime” to test the properties of water.

This program is appropriate for ages 4+ and their families. The cost is $20 per family (up to 4 people). Pre-registration is required through MyRec.

School Vacation Science & Nature Week:

February 17 to 21, and April 21 to 25

This program will offer students ages 8-10 a taste of our summer science camp experience as a 1-week school break experience. This all-day program runs 9 AM to 3 PM and includes a blend of hands-on science experiments, outdoor exploration, camp games, and art. Students may learn about local ecology while exploring the Pleasant Bay shoreline, complete engineering challenges and water quality testing, and end their days with creative projects and games. All activities will be weather-dependent, but we’ll have a blast no matter what Cape Cod winter and spring throw at us!

3rd Annual Sandpiper Invitational: September 5-7, 2025

This is open to all Sandpiper sailors and owners, around Pleasant Bay and beyond.

Registration dates for summer 2025 lessons and camps:

  • February 4th at 10:00 AM: Woman on the Water and all adult classes
  • February 6th at 10:00 AM: Full day youth programs
  • February 7th at 10:00 AM: 1/2-day youth sailing classes
